Available for: Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3

Lesson: Learn about the causes of the northern lights (solar flares and their effects on Earth’s magnetic fields), and about Ex-Alta 1, our satellite which studied these properties.

Activity: Students will draw the northern lights with watercolour pencils.
