The ICI-4 rocket (created by the University of Oslo) is a similar project to Ex Alta-1. Like Ex Alta-1, it studies solar flares. Specifically, The ICI-4 rocket is used to study the relationship between electron clouds and solar flares. Scientists have noticed that interference occurs when these electron clouds occur with the Northern Lights.Hopefully, this knowledge will provide us with a way to predict space weather and establish a system to do so. More information about this project can be found here.
The University of Oslo also created the ICI-2 rocket which was launched in February 2011. This rocket studied plasma irregularities and the structure of plasma.
